I am busy....shouldn't even be on here...I'm working from home today and have a TON of stuff to do to meet a fast approaching deadline...but, I'm taking a super quick break just to give a quick little update!
As you saw in the Valentine's post, we've all been sick. We are finally ALL better! The kids are at school, Chad is at work, and I'm in the process of catching back up. I have a huge to-do-list - both at home and work - but I will get to them.
My house is a MESS....dog hair (i know, gross but I can't help it!), finger prints, dirty clothes piles, clean clothes piles and piles and piles, mail, magazines, toys....stuff is EVERYWHERE. The best part (and maybe the worst) my parents are on their way down for the weekend - my Mom may die when she walks in and sees this massive mess. Unfortunately, I don't have an hour to "tidy" up before her arrival....I know she will understand...but deep down, she will die...its in her genetic make-up (I did not get those genes). The best part of that, she has to stay busy when she's is here and is always asking to help - well, she won't have to look to far this time and I think she will be busy! I've learned that the dirt and piles are really the small things that I can't worry about - not right this second any way.
Owen turned 8 months old on Wednesday - I plan an 8 month post for that. He is changing so very much. He has learned to wave and say bye bye (so, his 1st words were actually 2 words - giving his big brother a run for his money already!!). We went back to the doctor on Thursday for his RSV/ear infection check up and he got the all clear. Still on steroids and antibiotics for now.
Payton is in BIG BOY UNDERWEAR all the time now (except bedtime...but has only wet his pull up once time in the last 2 weeks). Have we escaped the "family" bedwetting curse (I won't point fingers at any one family over the other, but I was not a bedwetter). I hope I'm not going to eat my words! He is so proud of his big boy underwear and we are so proud of how he is doing in them! I can't believe he will be 3 in less about a month.
Invites for the big family birthday party will be mailed out soon....save the date...March 25th - 27th. The Webb family always comes out in full force and we love it! It is a great time! I know its a long drive, and weekend trips are hard, but we welcome any of our family members to come on down and join us for a fun-filled weekend in the lowcountry. For those of you who can't make it, we are planning to have Owen's 1st birthday party (wipe tears away at the thought that it is fast approaching) in North Carolina. I hope this will make it easy for everyone to attend at least one of our boys birthday parties.
We are trying to decide which charity to "adopt" for Payton's birthday. We are requesting no gifts for the birthday boy (we know, some of you really want to get him a present...you are welcome to do so but please keep in mind that he already has so much!)...but would like to donate money or toys to an organization near and dear to us...still trying to decide which one we will select this year. Any suggestions? Please share!
Okay....brief turned to long...and now, back to work! Enjoy your weekend - I hope it is as beautiful for you as it will be here! Warm and sunny.....yay!

Hi Jess! Our apartment is a complete mess, too. But who cares, right? I think that is really cool about giving money to a charity for Payton's b-day. I can't believe how many toys and things we have for just little 2 month old Hattie....I know it will be even more every day-toys galore! Let me know about the NC party for Owen...if we can make it, maybe we'll hit the road... Hope you are good and have a good visit with your parents. Love you!
I was fine with the house. It has been a few tough weeks for all of you. Sick ones and trying to work some. I am so happy that you realize how important taking care of the family and doing things with the family is fine and the housework will be there later. Wish I had been more like that!!! Maybe my ways did help you --HA!!!!!! Love you and enjoyed our visit very much!!!! xo xo xo
