Happy Birthday, Daddy!

On Friday August 3rd we celebrated Chad's 34th birthday.

Mommy thought the birthday seemed like the perfect chance to snap some cute pictures with Daddy and his two favorite boys.

Owen and Chad
The week of Chad's birthday was my first week of working part-time without the kids having preschool.  For the 1st time, we were home together.  This worked out perfectly on Friday.  I enjoyed having Payton and Owen at home with me to help with Daddy's birthday cake.  This year, I decided to change it up a bit and made one of his childhood favorites - "Wacky Cake" with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge.
The wacky cake before the ice cream and hot fudge were added.
In case you can't depict my artwork, the bottom corner is my drawing of our soon-to-be lake house, with an awesome dock, on LKN!   Hope we're eating cake on that dock at this time next year!

After seeing a co-workers annual picture with his kids, Chad requested that we make a photo each year of his birthday with Chad and boys.  It took a few shots this year and can't decide which one is best...so hard to choose because each one makes me laugh for a different reason!

On his 34th, I hope he made a few great wishes as he blew all those candles out!

Chadwick -

Happy Birthday to the best husband, friend, soul mate and father for our children that I could have ever wished for...with each passing year, I grow more and more thankful for the person you are...you are an amazing person and that is obvious in our relationship, your love for your children and family, and your friendships.  I admire you for the steps you are taking to become more active within our church and within our the youth group - I can't think of a more positive influence and role model!  While you sometimes drive me crazy with your non-stop jokes, I honestly don't know what I would do without your big, goofy smile and your endless laughter.  Your loud voice and infectious smile can change an entire room in an instant.  With each passing year, you become more and more of the man you are meant to be.  It is hard for me to believe that we have celebrated 10 birthdays "together."  I still remember nervously making that phone call to wish you a happy 24th birthday.  I certainly had no idea that 10 years later my life would look like this....with you by my side.  It is the perfect life and I wouldn't change a thing!  This year brings lots of changes and I am so appreciative of your support through all of them.  I know this is going to be a great year and I look forward to seeing all that unfolds!

All my love,
Jess
