Owen is THREE!!

Sweet baby Owen, how is it possible that you are already three years old?!?  I've said it before and I'll say it again, life goes way too fast.  Mommy shares a June birthday with you and, I'll admit, I'm a big fan of birthdays.  Sure, a birthday is just another day but it is a day that is all yours....to be spoiled, eat cake and open presents.  I was over joyed to see your excitement about your big day and it continued though out the day.  You woke up on Sunday morning and immediately remembered it was your 3rd birthday.  You were giddy with excitement.  You kicked your legs up and down, squealed with excitement and exclaimed "I'm the birthday boy!"  You enjoyed your day and showed us with your three fingers that you were able to show us you were indeed three years old!  Three!!  What a big boy you are! 

We will celebrate with a big birthday party on Saturday but Mommy can't let the actual day slide by without a little celebration and cake.  Your party is Mickey Mouse themed but for this cake, you had requested a Panther cake.  Luckily, the local bakery did a great job with your Panther cake....great with the art work on top, but not too great at convincing you to eat the cake....you still have not tasted a single bite.

Like Mommy, your birthday will occasionally fall on Father's Day.  This year it did fall on Father's Day and we were able to celebrate with Daddy and Grandpa on your birthday.

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Owen!  I love you more than words can express.  You are an amazing little boy who makes me smile every single day.  You are stubborn and independent.  You are also sweet and snugly.  When Daddy is around, you are 100% a Daddy's boy...so, I cherish the times when Daddy is not around.  You have a wonderful personality....yes, challenging at times but it is so easy to see who you will be one day. You are funny and everyone you meet loves you....immediately.  You still have the most beautiful green/blue eyes and extra long eye lashes.  One day, you will be a heartbreaker.  You love sports...your favorites seem to be golf, baseball, basketball and football.  You are only three but you think you are about 10.  All you want to do is have your own pair of baseball pants, a big boy glove, a hard ball, a field to play on and a team to play with.  It will be so much fun to watch you play your first team sport this fall!  It is hard to believe that you will only be my baby for three more months....and then you will move from the baby position to the middle child spot.  You are so excited for your baby brother.  You ask about him all the time and you have already cleared out your rocking chair to show me how you will rock him.  You are adorable, sweet and so very lovable!  I love watching you grow and can't wait to see how the next year unfolds!!
