| Baby Webb #3 |
Eleven short weeks, or 77 days, from today, we will meet Baby Boy #3. In some ways, that still seems far away...in others, it seems like I will never be ready in time! I am technically 28 weeks and 4 days and had my 28 week check-up today. My c-section has been set for September 3rd.
My appointment went great today.
My weight gain still seems reasonable....I personally wish it was a little less but it just comes with being pregnant (and never goes away!). It didn't help that we spent the last week with our youth group and endless supplies of fudge stripes and late night snacks or the fact that we just celebrated Owen's birthday with cake, ice cream and a big plate of pasta from Carabbas!
The baby is measuring right on track - at the 80 percentile for babies of the same number of weeks. Payton and Owen were both big so I expect #3 will follow in their footsteps.
I passed my glucose tolerance test with flying colors.
I am borderline anemic but nothing to be worried about, it was worse with both P and O if I remember correctly. I had a nice big salad tonight with lots of extra iron.
I have been having braxton hicks contractions...and sometimes they stop me in my tracks, but nothing consistent.
I have been having round ligament pain...for about 24 weeks.
Apparently my placenta is posterior which leads to stronger baby movement. My doctor looked back today and my placenta was also posterior with Payton. I don't remember Payton's every movement feeling SO exaggerated, but maybe since it was my first I just didn't have anything to compare with his kicks and punches. Baby #3 has extra hard kicks, extra hard punches, stretches a lot and enjoys back flips....and, it hurts. About two weeks ago, I would have still said "oh how cute, I feel the baby moving." This week, I say nothing, because it hurts so much that it leaves me speechless and motionless for at least a few seconds! I really can't imagine how this baby can grow and move for 11 more weeks!
Swelling....yes, my feet are swelling...but, it is nothing terrible yet. The more I am on my feet, the more they swell. So far my hands seem okay...rings still fit!
I am definitely more tired than usual...more tired than any other pregnancy I think and I really need a nap every single day...I don't get this nap every day but I definitely need one around 4:00 pm every single day!
No cravings that I can really think of. I will admit that I can't make it without my Diet Coke...I know, bad Mom...caffeine and bad-for-me-and-baby-additives....it is the only thing that fights my exhaustion.
I need ice cream daily...at least once a day. Yes, need it!
One really cool part about my ultrasound today is that the tech could already tell the baby has hair...the arrow is pointing to it in the picture above! How cool!!
Little baby Webb, it is so hard to believe that you will join our crazy, overly busy family in just 11 weeks. While we have narrowed down some names, we still don't know your name. Your bigger brother Owen still has all his clothes and shoes in your room. Your clothes are still packed away and sometime soon I will start getting them out and washing them and hanging with care as we await your arrival. Your baby necessities are scattered...some upstairs, some have been passed around to friends and some are stored at grandma and grandpa's house. We still have a few trips to take before you arrive - 2 trips to the lake and 1 trip to OIB, you just returned from a wonderful week at Montreat with our high school youth group (they have named you Miguel). We still have a few holidays to celebrate before your arrival too...Mommy's birthday, July 4th, Grandma's Birthday, Daddy's Birthday and Aunt Chandra's birthday (we LOVE birthdays!) and Labor Day. Each of these things will come and go very quickly and you will be here before we know it! I can't wait to see your little face, hold your little body, count your little fingers and toes, and welcome you into our family....the third of three boys...what a big life you have ahead of you! Enjoy your next 11 weeks....these may be the calmest, most quiet weeks of your life....as soon as your arrive, your big brothers have big plans for you...and you will be at the soccer field and football field before you know it! We love you little guy...take it easy in there!
