Uploading....

Christmas was interesting this year.

I won't get into all of the details, but, will simply state that my fabulous husband got far less than his fair share of the gifts this year.  Hopefully, I can find a way to surprise him one day that will be comparable to the variety of surprises I have received over the years.

Chad isn't much on flowers and small gifts through the year.  Not too big on cards...but, he does get them for Mother's Day and my Birthday (usually).  I don't need those gifts to see how much he loves me, just stating a point which makes the large, shocking gifts all the more impressive.

From the moment we met I should have known he was an all-or-nothing kinda guy....He was quickly pointing out that the soft drink I ordered at dinner was over $2.00 or that the side salad was an $2.95; never mind the fact that we had pulled up to the same dinner in his fancy car or had just been out on his nice boat.  Yes, save on the little things and splurge on the big ones!

This has continued to hold true!  Over the years I've been surprised with bling, paintings, trips, and my first mac book.

My kids and my husband are my life and I love nothing more than capturing all those little moments that make our life complete in pictures.  My mac book used to be a huge help - I could upload, edit, share with family and friends.  This all happened without effort until I had about 35,000 pictures on my computer.  The magnitude of pictures and the age of the computer made for some s....l....o.....w processing.

When you have very little free time, delays in uploading get the best of you and eventually the pictures slowed down and the blogging ceased to exist!

Never fear - this year, Chad came through again and surprised me (well, it's for the whole family) with a fabulous new desktop.

Love is an understatement.  This screen that I am staring at is AH-MAZ-ING!!!!

Tonight, I was finally able to upload pictures that have been frozen on a disk for far too long.  The fact that I already uploaded and edited nearly 700 pictures is impressive.  The fact that there are another 6,500 that I uploaded but still need to edit, delete, share, etc is daunting.   With this new computer - nicely sitting on our new table - in the middle of our family room, I will get it done.  You may be overwhelmed with pictures that have been waiting to be shared for over a year, but it is fun to look back and I can't wait!

Our Christmas was good this year.  We missed out on a family gathering today and gathering with friends tomorrow due to Payton coming down with the flu today. He's doing ok and we are all hoping that the rest of the family stays germ free.  Sick kids = a little downtime without running all over town so maybe I can get a jump start on all of these pictures.

I can't wait!!!

**I'll also be posting a picture of the most amazing gift Chad has ever surprised me with - a perfect piece of art for our new home - it deserves a post of it's own!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year!
