Halloween

Trick or Treat

As many of you know, Payton was a lobster for his first Halloween. We didn't see another lobster, so I'll have to say he was the cutest one for sure! He was lucky that we weren't able to catch him for our lobster stew. We started off our Halloween at our neighborhood Halloween parade - which was really just a bunch of kids running crazy.

Payton is observing his first neighborhood parade. At this point, he is not sure how to act so he had no expression - for nearly an hour - he didn't laugh, smile or cry - he just didn't know how to act! We didn't stay very long because we had several other people to see. Jenny and Daniel are staying with us this weekend so we had to swing back by the house for Payton to show off his costume. Jenny agreed that he was adorable!

After seeing Jenny and Daniel, we headed over to Matt, Lindsey and Ella's house. We had planned to spend Halloween at their house and pass out candy together. Lindsey and Ella were dressed up as Mary and her little Lamb. Ella's outfit was adorable - fluffy and warm. Both of the babies seemed to be in shock at first and didn't say or move too much in the costumes. Eventually they warmed up to the idea and started babbling together. We set up a station outside to pass out candy to all the children. The neighborhood was packed! We had to take the babies in around 7:30 because it started getting too cold for them. Payton was exhausted from his big day and went right to sleep at Ella's. After Payton and Ella were asleep, the grown-ups enjoyed some quality time together - which included chili and a hilarious game of Cranium. My jaw muscles still hurt from the laughter!

Mary and her little lamb and the chef and her lobster.

We had to snap this one quickly - Payton may have pulled Ella out of the chair with him if given the chance! Please take note of the red tights Payton is wearing....this could be blackmail material one day!

The warm little lamb says Baaaaaaaaaaa!

To cute to cook....I think I'll just hold him!

There are no words.....

Luckily, he didn't attempt to wear any other part of the costume.

We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! We are ready for next year...I can already see Payton running around in another adorable costume and attempting to say trick-or-treat! Or maybe he will be refusing to wear his costume and screaming. We will just have to wait and see!
