3 weeks....

Our life has been busy...and a little stressful...

Sawyer will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and, again, it seems like I had him just yesterday.  I would give anything to make time slow down.  He is the sweetest baby and I am enjoying every second with him.  Unfortunately, as the 3rd child in our family, his "every second" is usually on the go!  Being on the go makes my down time with him that much more meaningful and I am doing my very best to slow down and soak it all in.

Our past few weeks have looked a little like this....

Sawyer, enjoying Owen's soccer game

Owen's soccer game.  Grandma and Grandpa were able to see him play for the "Mighty Mice!"

Chad and I were able to sneak away for a few hours when Sawyer was just 2 weeks old....crazy I know, but it was an opportunity we just couldn't pass up!  Our friends had won an auction for a evening harbor cruise.  It was AMAZING!  A few hours away, surrounded by great friends and this beautiful place were just what I needed.

BUT...by, "just what I needed" it wasn't all smiles....I'll move on to more about this later, but, when Sawyer was just SIX days old, we found out that we are moving...back to NC....so, this night with our friends in this beautiful place was REALLY hard...hard to realize that we are going to be saying goodbye.  I have cried more than any one would believe.  The picture above is the reason why.  These great friends...this beautiful place....completely irreplaceable!!

At the end of week #2, Grandma and Grandpa returned home (well, Grandpa had come and gone and come and gone and come again!).  We enjoyed our two weeks with Grandma and all her help.  Week # 2 was interesting...as Payton was sick, Grandma was sick and Owen was sick....but, we survived!  We couldn't have made it without Grandma!
It was hard to say goodbye on Sunday.

On Monday, we had a baby play date...which was pretty funny for a 3rd time mom.
Sawyer - far left, my 3rd; Cora - middle, Anne's 4th and Hutch - far right, Charlotte's 2nd.
Our older kids were all in school.  We loved the time we had to sit and chat - uninterrupted by our other, wild children.  It was just like we were first time Mom's again!

Sawyer tried out his swing...and he likes it about 50% of the time.

The majority of our free time seems to be spent outside, on a field.  It has been beautiful so that has been nice!
Payton has loved playing football with Holman and Coach Rusty and Coach Chad (Dad).

He was especially happy to have his favorite come watch his game.  Miss Rachel finally got a chance to meet Sawyer too!
Payton plays on Tuesdays and Saturday's.  On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Sease came to see him play.  Such a great fan club!

Sawyer spent his 3 week birthday back on the field....

On Sunday, we missed church despite our best made plans...Sawyer's sleep (or lack of sleep) kept us sleep deprived and unable to function in the morning.  We will be back this week...and, we have been on Wednesday nights.  Although we missed church, we still managed to shower and cheer on our favorite team...can you tell we are a Redskin family?

Finally, baby Sawyer....snoozing away....3 weeks and 1 day.

Thanks for being a sweet, sweet baby!
