I got a SHOT and it was "RUFF"

I'm Six months old today!
September 25th 2008
Today was my 6 month birthday. We celebrated by going to eat at Guiseppi's - a local restaurant. It was a little chilly in Charleston so I had to wear a coat for the 1st time. I looked so adorable in my hooded jacket! Thanks Aunt Chandra! If she wouldn't have bought me this coat I wouldn't have had one! Mommy wasn't prepared for the cold weather to hit! It was back to 90 by the weekend.
I was such a good boy at dinner. The last time we ate at Guiseppi's Mom and Dad had to get their food to go after ordering. I did not want to eat in the restaurant so I screamed for about 10 minutes! This time I was on my best behavior! A nice lady came over to see me. She said she had 3 boys (mommy's worst nightmare she says!) and she said boys were best. She thought I was adorable.....like I said, I did look pretty cute in my hooded jacket!!

Yum! Yum!

Now that I'm 6 months old I am eating baby food every single day. I only eat baby food at night for right now but I eat the entire container and a big serving of rice cereal. I liked to mix them together. My favorite seems to be sweet potatoes. They are also messy. Mommy has to hold my left hand down to keep it out of my mouth. As soon as she lets go I shove it right into my mouth. My left hand is better than my right - I never eat my right hand! Maybe its a sign I am going to be left handed. I've also tried applesauce, pears, and bananas mixed with my rice cereal. Mommy has prunes (in memory of Nannie Helen), sweet peas, and carrots for next week!

Hey MeMe!!

Daddy had Meme on speakerphone. Now you can all see what I look like when I hear your voices on the phone. I love to hear people talk to me on the phone. I usually reach for the phone and starting tonight I even pushed the buttons while Mommy talked to Grandma.

Call me soon so I can hear your voice!!

I got a SHOT and it was "RUFF"

Payton went to see Dr. Linker on Friday September 26th for his 6 month appointment. We like to go on Fridays because both of us are able to go with Payton. We were anxious to see what his weight and height would be. He weighed 16 lbs and 4 oz. He was 27 inches long. He in in the 75th percentile for height but on the 25th percentile for weight. He may have chubby legs but he's acutally not such a big boy after all. I was a little concerned about his weight going down in the percentile (from the 50th) but Dr. Linker is not worried. He said this is normal. It does seem likely that it would happen because Payton is always on the move - rolling, scooting, pushing up, and now jumping! Now that he is eating solid food he should start to balance out.

He had to get four shots and one vaccine that he took by mouth. We gave him Tylenol right before his shots. He cried for a few minutes but was asleep in about 5 minutes - it was his nap time - he slept a long time in the afternoon but woke up smiling as usual! I loved the sticker he got for being such a big boy.

I just can't believe it was already time for his 6 month shots! Where has the time gone. My little baby will be walking and talking before too long! We have to go back October 8th for a flu shot and hopefully we will make it all the way to his 9 month appointment without another visit!

Hey Patyon - it is your favorite aunt - Chandra! You look SOOOOO handsome in that little Baby Gap jacket that I found you! Don't forget that we don't tell Uncle Allen about EVERYthing that I buy you! I just can't help that you are SO cute and I have to keep getting you things!
Jess - I am so glad that you have started this. I can hardly wait to turn my email on every day and look for some new pictures. I miss you guys SO MUCH. Although it is not nearly as good as holding him, I do enjoy seeing Payton "online".

We truly are blessed to have a wonderful little nephew named Payton Moses. Tell him that Aunt Chandra misses him terribly and can't wait to see him (Uncle Allen too). Calyn and Carson also miss you guys and ask about you everyday! They can hardly wait to get on the computer to "see Payton".

We love and miss you all - even Bailey (Carson mostly). Have a wonderful weekend!!
