Four Generations of the Webb Family
Frank Payton, George, Chad, and Payton
Christmas Morning.....or not!
We usually exchange gifts with Chad's immediate family on Christmas morning - after eating breakfast at Mawmaw's, after visiting with Poppy and Aunt Evelyn, and before rushing off to eat lunch - which makes for a rushed gift exchange! This year we decided to try something new. I am not usually a big advocate for change (especially when it comes to holiday rituals) but I must admit this was a wonderful idea! Monday morning we had our "fake" Christmas morning. Chandra, Allen, Calyn and Carson came over for the traditional breakfast and then we enjoyed opening presents - at a normal, enjoyable pace! This also allowed us time to enjoy watching the kids play with all their new toys.
Calyn and Carson received a Wii for Christmas and several games to go along with the new game system. We enjoyed watching them play for most of the day. Payton got lots of presents from everyone. We were happy to see several new outfits, PJs, a dog pull toy, a TV remote, his first Tonka toy, a driving toy and a walk/ride toy. Within a few hours he had mastered the art of pushing the toy and walking behind. He was so excited by the wrapping paper, new gifts and all the noise they made! Thanks for all the wonderful gifts!!
Calyn and Carson assist Payton with opening presents.
Yeah! He screamed with excitement!
Very Proud Grandparents!
Meme and Pawpaw with all the grandkids!
What a great Christmas!
Unfortunately, Chad's grandfather, Poppy has had to spend some time in a rehab facility after breaking his hip earlier this year. Payton is named after Poppy - Frank Payton Webb - and Poppy LOVES Payton. We were happy to spend a little time visiting with Poppy on Monday afternoon. Poppy has many pictures of Payton covering the walls of his room and he enjoys telling everyone of his namesake.

I did like opening presents early because we got to have so much good family time. I was so happy to have Chad, Jessica, Payton and Bailey here for a few days. I enjoyed having ALL my family here-what a GREAT present!
