Orlando to Atlanta

After our 6 days in Orlando - and time with Chad's parents - we loaded the car up (again) and headed to Atlanta, Georgia.  We had a full weekend ahead of us!  Luckily, my parents were meeting us in Atlanta to visit and help watch the boys so that we could enjoy some time with our friends and go to the UNC v. LSU game at the Georgia Dome.

On Friday, we ventured out in the big city.  We enjoyed a tour of the Coca Cola museum.  I love the picture of the old sign at the top of this post...I drink at least one Diet Coke each day.  I never thought of it as "The Ideal Brain Tonic" but, hey, whatever works!!  Funny, after returning to work as a mommy of two I realize that it may be a tonic....one I can't survive without for now!  We had a great lunch with them as well.

Friday night we headed out to dinner with our friends - CJ and Leslie, Kade, Jenny and later met up with a co-worker of Chad's and his wife.  As usual, it was great to see everyone and catch up.  Life had surely changed since the last time we had seen them!

Saturday was a very busy day for us!  We started with brunch at my friend Marty's house.  Marty is one of my dearest friends - although we are many miles apart and only see each other once or twice each year - he will always be one of my best buds!  Marty and I have been good friends since high school and attended college together at UNC - couldn't have made it without him!  It was our first time meeting his beautiful little girl, Lydia.  Adorable!  She had just turned 6 months old.  Super cute and so fun to get to ooohhhh and aaaahhhh over a girl!  It is always great to see Marty and Laura!

In addition, Amy and Eric were there.  Eric and I have been friends since the 1st day of 7th grade.  The three of us are rarely all together - the last time was in May of 2009 at Eric's wedding.  It was great to see Eric and Amy as well.  They are Payton and Owen's godparents and this was their 1st time meeting Owen.  Eric is still such a child himself so it is always fun to see him with the kids!

Eric meets Owen.....Owen already thinks he's funny!

Amy Hoots and Payton (sometimes its hard to tell who Payton loves most...Eric or Amy, usually Amy seems to be more of his favorite which drives Eric crazy!)

We just need Eric and Amy to add one to this group and we will have come full circle!

Jenny and Daniel were also in town for the game and able to stop by to visit as well.  I'm so excited that we got to see Jenny.  Jenny is expecting her 1st BOY in January and I couldn't be more excited for all of my friends to start entering the wonderful world of parenthood.  Jenny and Daniel will be great parents and I know that Baby Boy Eller will come out very stylish in his itty bitty Polo shirt.

I think she is a natural!  I can't wait to meet her little Tarheel!  Tailgating next year should be very entertaining!

The gangs all here!

Just for a good laugh.....
Here we are in May of 1999 - graduating from good old BHS

Another happy group shot in college :)

My how times have changed!  I'm so happy with the people we have become!

My parents took Owen and Payton to my cousin Joey's house. They spent the day with Joey, Heather, Zoe, Reed, and Piper.  I hate we didn't get to see them but I'm so happy that Payton was able to enjoy a little time with his cousins and that they could meet Owen before the holidays.

We spent the rest of the day tailgating with friends and enjoying the game.  If only the Heels could have pulled it off!
The end of another great weekend :)
