Disney Day #6

Today was a day for relaxation.  We slept LATE!  Owen woke up to feed early this morning but then went back to sleep.....next time I saw the clock it was 10 am!  WOW!  That felt great.  We spent a little time at the pool with Meme before rushing back to get ready for lunch and to take them to the airport.  Meme and Pawpaw headed off around 3:00.  We were sad to see them go but so happy that they were able to spend Sat - Wed here in Orlando with us.  It wouldn't have been the same without them!

We headed back to Downtown Disney around 4:30.  Payton fell asleep just as we were pulling in to park and amazingly we were able to get him into the stroller and keep him asleep for about 1 hour.  We did a little more shopping.  I am just amazed at all the Disney stuff available.  Typically, I'm not much on Mickey Mouse or Disney merchandise but after the wonderful week we had here I just want to buy it all! I actually did great and do not think I went overboard at all.  Today I added Christmas ornaments and a Mickey Mouse hat for Mr. Potato Head ($2.50).

After considering all the restaurants, we actually ended up at the Rainforest Cafe again.  We ate lunch at the other location in Animal Kingdom but I knew I would get something very different for dinner and Payton really enjoys all the special effects with the animals and thunderstorms!  Chad and I both had the fish special of the day and it was fantastic!  A nice change from all the heavy, fried food I've been eating.  Originally we were planning to get their Volcano dessert to split but in the end we headed back out for dessert - two huge ice cream sundaes and a vanilla shake for Payton.  Yummy!  Payton enjoyed the live entertainment where we were sitting and danced along with the other children.  It was really cute.

Once back in the hotel, it was time for the dreaded packing to begin.  Tomorrow morning we'll be heading out....but not back home, yet.  Next, we will travel to Atlanta, Georgia.  UNC and LSU play on Saturday.  We will be happy to see so many of our fellow Heels and Grandma and Grandpa are meeting us there.  Another hotel!  Payton will be very excited.  I'm sure they will love seeing his new shirts and toys as well.

Hopefully today has recharged us enough to get through the weekend!  I know we'll be on the go for the next few days as well.

Atlanta bound...GO HEELS!
