Tarheel Time!

The 1st weekend in March 2011, we traveled to Chapel Hill to visit with friends and attend the UNC v. Duke game for the season.

We spent Friday touring around Chapel Hill and thanks to our best friend and godfather, we were able to spend some time on the court.  Payton has NO idea how lucky he is to be able to run, play and shoot hoops in the Dean Dome.  I am still in awe - and so lucky to have the precious shots of my boys!
Owen gets a little instruction from Eric just prior to hitting his 1st shot in the Dean Dome.  The first of many....one can dream!

Look at his vertical jump!

Payton was fouled and had to shoot free throws.
Dribble, Dribble, deep breath, concentration....shoot!

"I am a Tar Heel"

My Tar Heel boys.

Frame worthy?  I think so!

Payton will not be in charge for long - If he has ball, Owen is constantly trying to take it away from him.

A few of my favorite guys.

After playing around in the Smith Center, we headed over the the basketball museum.  There were about 100 middle school students just behind us, so our stay was quick.  Last year, we spent more time in there.  Payton was almost 2 and he did the exact same thing he is doing below:
Seriously.....same picture, just a little bigger!  Keep trying buddy!

Sweet baby Owen wants to get in the box!

Surrounded by all this baby blue, his eyes looked Carolina blue!

Just outside of the newly renovated Carolina Basketball offices, they have created a brick walkway titled "Letterman's Lane."

Surrounded by some big time names, you can find this special brick:

Yes, its just a brick, in the midst of a long walkway in Chapel Hill, but what an awesome way to recognize all the former letterman - the best of the best, the walk-ons, the managers - all part of the family and the Carolina tradition.  It makes me proud to see my hubby's name along with so many others.

My future letterman :)

Friday night, my cousin watched Payton and Owen while we went out with friends.  This is always the perfect time of year to get together for a little reunion!
