Webb World updates

Lots of ramblings from my week....but, a lot has been happening!

Chad is on his way home from Philadelphia - he's been away for work since Monday.

Thankfully, my Mom had planned to come down to help out for the week.

Last Thursday, we left for Chapel Hill - our first time up to Chapel Hill since the fall.  We enjoyed our time with friends, family and Carolina Basketball Thursday - Sunday - don't worry, a different post, with some great pictures from the Dean Dome will be coming.  We celebrated Eric's 30th, we were able to meet baby Thomas and see Jenny HE on Friday, got to spend time with Kade, Jenny P, Johnny and "Henry" (Hilary...but Payton got confused), CJ and Leslie and a few others on Friday night and Saturday.  Saturday was a big game day...and, as you should know by now, the Heels dominated the Dook Yucks.  Payton had a BLAST at the game.  The kid is amazing!  He was still going strong at 11:30 pm at the post game victory "party."  Sunday came too quickly and we headed back home.

Sunday afternoon, Owen started running a fever and was very fussy - I did have to miss work on Monday - but, my Mom saved me (and my coworkers) and watched Owen for the rest of the week.  Thursday, I finally gave in and had her take him to the pediatrician.  Ear infection # 6.  I'm hoping warmer weather will keep these away - if not, we'll be asking to be referred to ENT for a consult for tubes.

So, Mom arrived Monday afternoon.

I was able to work Tuesday - Thursday.

Wednesday I snuck out of work a little early to meet up with Lindsey at the Ch@rle$ton Repe@t$ sale in Mt. Pleasant.  Once again, I didn't have time to get my act together to consign - I gather items to sale, but didn't have time to get past that point....there is always next year!  Lindsey is WONDERFUL and lets me tag along with her extra consignor wrist band.  It is like a tradition now.  I found some good deals - I spent about $100 total.  I had one pair of brand new $30 dress shoes for Owen, several outfits for both, a few things Payton can wear to church (which was my main objective), shin guards, a brand new Toy Story 3 book (Happy Birthday Payton!), an awesome firetruck puzzle for Payton, several different polo shirts for Payton, lots of play clothes, and a fantastic closet organizer separated by days of the week.   I skipped out on toys this year - we just don't need any more toys right now - but they had a ton!  I also put back several cool books...again, we have enough books to read a different one every night for 3 months - but I LOVE books - so, it was hard for me to put them back!

Lindsey and I enjoyed a nice kid-free, husband free, dinner together after the sale at a new restaurant in Mt. P.  With our own hectic schedules, I feel like we rarely get the chance to do that.  In fact, I never do this!  In the past 9 months, I've had very little "free" time so dinner was wonderful!  So, this ritual is probably better than the sale!  What will we do when our kids outgrow the need for the sale?    Thanks Mom for helping out with the kids so I could do this!!

Thursday morning Owen went to see Dr. S, started antibiotics...again.  Tylenol continues.  Overall happy, just unhappy when laying down or sleeping.

Thursday after work, we loaded up the boys and headed to K@hls - I've slowing been updating our downstairs bathroom.  I finally added chocolate brown towels - with my bright stripped shower curtain and yellow walls - and I think I like the new look!

Friday....ahh, I was so happy to see you this week Mr. Friday!  Mom was still here, she was a big help this morning.  After 3 nights of being up and down all night with Owen, Friday gave me a chance to get a little more rest.  No thanks to Payton - who was up at 6:00, or Owen - who was up at 6:15 - but, thanks to Grandma who helped with them while I went back to sleep for another hour.  Ahh!

I am home today - and I have refused to do any work - but, that still resulted in checking my email multiple times, sending about 10 emails and making 3 phone calls - again, that was me "not" working.

We headed out to do a little shopping.  We were on the hunt for Owen's Easter outfit.  However, once we got into the sweet little kids boutiques in Mt. P - I started to realize how much of a waste a $60 bunny outfit would seem.  We opted out of the Easter outfit - and instead, I will just use Payton's 1st Easter outfit.  We did pick two really cute, much more practical red, white and blue outfits for Payton and Owen.  Owen's is a reversible outfit - one side with a sail boat, the other side with a cute little dog on red, white and blue plaid (as Lindsey pointed out Wednesday night, you have to think about price per wear....if its reversible, that is a lot more times to wear!!).  Payton's outfit matches with red seersucker shorts and a navy cotton shirt with the same, matching sailboat.  We're having family pictures made in June and these will be perfect!  I can't wait to see them in these new outfits.  They will be super cute!

Mom is taking a few of my consignment deals home to get monogrammed by one of her friends.

After shopping, Mom and I enjoyed lunch while watching the ACC Tournament....the Heels barely pulled it off, but they did.  That means, Saturday will be filled with basketball too!  Mom headed home in the afternoon.

Tomorrow is the Daniel Island yardsale....woooooo hooooo!  I'm PUMPED!  I've got a good idea of a few things I'm looking for.  Seriously, I am excited.  I got some great things there last year - and in fact, when we got home from shopping for Owen's Easter outfit, realized that we actually have 3 options - I bought 2 like new smocked Easter outfits at the DI Yardsale last year.  Pumped!  Really!

Lila's 3rd birthday party is tomorrow....the 1st of Payton's first friends to turn 3....he's next.  Such emotions!  We'll have a blast at her party with all his friends tomorrow.

Basketball Saturday afternoon.

We have another birthday party (P's best friend from school) at the Mt. P Fire Department on Sunday...should be a lot of fun too.

Sunday afternoon....hoping for one more basketball game.

Back to the grind on Monday.
