On March 16th....(yes, in 3 days, he will be 10 months old)...Owen hit the big 9 month mark!
Owen is weighing in around 20 lbs.
He is hanging around at the 75 % for height, 50% for weight, and his head.....down in the 10% (clearly no genetic relation to Uncle Kade...sorry, had too!)
The military style belly crawl started just as he hit the 9 month mark.
His fascination with all things round has started. Currently, a few days shy of the 10 month mark he is already saying "baa" for ball.
As you can see, he LOVES that pacifier. I want to start breaking him of it but haven't started yet.
The start of crawling - but, he would bend over while sitting, scoot his bottom up closer to his hands, and move across the floor, never actually crawling until yesterday
Words at 9 months:
Ma-ma
Da-da (finally!)
Ba-ye (Bailey - hard to type the pronunciation but he definitely has a word for her)
Ba (ball)
Ga-ga (could be Payton....often say it when he is around)
You love to point - mostly at lights and fans.
Sign language isn't going to well. I'm probably not as consistent as I should be.
Food - WILL EAT ANYTHING!
Baby food, small pieces of our food - veggies, fruits, puffs, mum-mums, meat; yogurt, applesauce
Still taking a bottle - slowly working on the sippy cup. Takes 3 or 4 bottles per day.
Sleeping ALL NIGHT LONG! WOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! It only took 9 months!
Personality - still a super happy baby boy, always smiling, always LOUD, always moving! You cry if you are hurt, hungry, or really want our attention!
You love Payton, Bailey, and again balls! I think you're a momma's boy, but you sure love your daddy too!
You are going to be our wild child - you are already trying to pull open doors, drawers, cabinets, pull on cords and all things dangerous! You LOVE the jumper, which is hanging in our bathroom...you jump and jump and jump! You enjoy being outside. All the girls (aka women who work there!) at daycare love you and have to get their hands on you every day.
Owen, sweet baby boy, you are growing and changing and I'm loving every single minute. As you started crawling yesterday, we kept you and Payton up an hour late and watched you move all around the bonus room. I enjoyed that "extra" hour and tried to soak it all in! There are going to be so many "first" - but each of them come and go so quickly! I want each of them to make a forever, lasting impression in my full brain - so that when these "first" are so long gone, I can turn back the page in my mind and remember as many little moments as possible! As always, I do wish it would all slow down. I wish I had a week or two off work just so I could sit and watch you grow and change. This is such a fun time. You are curious, growing, learning....and MOBILE! I love watching you explore and discover and I LOVE seeing your eyes light up and your smile beam when you find something you have never seen before. It can be as simple as sweet potatoes...with a little extra sugar...that makes you so happy! Your crooked grin with 6 big, uneven teeth continues to MELT my heart. I'm looking forward to watching you grow and change over the next month as well! We have so many fun days ahead and I'm looking forward to seeing how you respond to all of them. I love you! Mommy
