 We spent Thursday afternoon in Sherrills Ford at my parents house.  We had a great afternoon with them.  Payton and Owen had a little time to be county boys and go exploring outside.  We had a great dinner at one of my childhood favorites, Lineberger's Steakhouse.  It was a big hit with Payton and Owen too!  After dinner, we were able to see my cousin Brett and his family briefly.  Grandma had a small cake for Owen.  You can see how it unfolded below!

 He looks really happy to be getting this cake...and Mommy is a little worried that he's going to make a HUGE mess!

 But after, touching the candle, he seemed a little scared.  Check out these faces!

 Finally, Mommy...and Aunt Moe, helped shovel it in with a fork.  He really enjoyed it when he didn't have to get his hands messy.  We will have another round of cake at the big party on Saturday.  Maybe he'll be more used to the idea by that round!

Friday we spent the day with Chad's family in East Bend.  Party prep was in full swing.  Owen enjoyed taking advantage of the jump castle and ball while we all worked hard to get ready for the party. 

 Sweet!!

The party is on Saturday.  I will have plenty more pictures to post but for those of you who weren't able to celebrate with us I just wanted you to have a little preview of the wild and crazy birthday boy!
