In early August, Payton made the move from the Grasshoppers class to the Seagulls class. I hope that his teachers get better with each passing year but it will be VERY hard to top Ms. Rachel and Ms. Sarah. Ms. Rachel is Payton's girlfriend (just ask him!) and Ms. Sarah is a real close second. Ms. Rachel is a Tarheel and Ms. Sarah is a Tiger....and, because Ms. Sarah is a Tiger fan, we are able to cheer for them too!

The second week of August, Payton moved up to the Seagulls class with most of his previous classmates and a few new friends. The first few weeks were a little rocky but after an early teacher change, things quickly improved. Payton is now thriving in the Seagulls class with Ms. Danielle. They are currently using the Handwriting Without Tears program in addition to their daily curriculum and things are going great! Payton has learned "L" and "F" - this week they move on to "E." He has been learning about "all about me" and his 5 senses as well.
Owen is doing great in his new class too. He moved from the baby class - the Tadpoles - up to the Catepillars class. His class is small right now and his two teachers, Ms. Candace and Ms. Melissa are great too! The first few weeks resulted in a few tearful mornings but the last 2 weeks have been tear free!
