Excitement...

I finally used the word "excited" about our upcoming move.  I am a little embarrassed to admit that it was used in the context of sports...Tar Heel basketball to be exact.  As I was adding the dates of all the home games and noticing the days and times, I said, with a big smile and a certain level of giddy-ness in my voice, "I am SO excited to be doing this again!  To have all these games in my calender.  We are going be going to be spending lots of time going back and forth (to Chapel Hill)!"  **just to clarify, the excitement was literally over putting the games into my calender**

Truth is, basketball games are exciting!  Getting our tickets in the mail...exciting.  Chapel Hill on a big game day...exciting!  Knowing that when "UNC v Duke" pops up in my calender, I will be back where I belong....sitting in my Carolina Blue seat, cheering like any former cheerleader would....I will be at home, right where I belong!

Eventually, excitement will show up in other forms...but, it is still hard knowing that we will soon leave this great place, our wonderful church, the best friends we could have ever imagined.  At least I know we will be back where we belong....back in the Tar Heel state...with our family, some of our oldest friends and yes, with our boys in blue.  Even the early season, easy wins and the Tar Heel Santa will make me feel like a kid in a candy store this year!

Now, just imagine how excited the boys will be when they get to be in Chapel Hill more often....I.can't.wait!
