The reality is that I just packed up my kids clothes...all winter clothes, pants, shirts, church clothes, play clothes, socks, underwear. They are neatly packed so they can be loaded in the car and head to NC with our family. Opening the closet to see that empty spot, well, that is reality.
You don't pack a whole closet if you are coming back next week.
We aren't coming back next week.
I'm a professional packer....weekend trips, summer trips, family vacations... but packing up to move your child, permanently, is entirely different.
After packing one child's clothes, I moved on to baking pans....because with the holidays coming, I'm more likely to need them. Cookie sheets, cake pans, brownie pans. Bundt pan. Loaf pans.
Things are getting real. When you pack up the cookie sheet, you know the end is near. I never had time to bake cookies here anyway.
