Horses and Combines

We are here.  We are somewhat settled.  The boys are doing great.  Payton is finishing his third week of school and Owen is finishing his second.  Payton loves it, Owen likes it.  Owen has some difficulty adjusting at school this past Wednesday but hopefully he will do great moving forward.  He just didn't want to stay for lunch because none of his friends would go with him!

Life at Chad's grandmother's is great.  I still have things that need to be unpacked and put away but honestly, I just can't find time in the day!

My car will be dirty for the entire time we live here because of the dirt road, but what's a little dirt matter?!?

The boys are enjoying our new neighbors - two horses - that they have name Gilly and Gally.  They are also scared of the electric fence....because if they touch it, they might die (this is what they think!).  Chad and I, and millions of other country raised kids, are proof that a little electric fence shock won't hurt too bad....unless you don't let go I guess.  My cousin used to shock me on purpose, true story.  I survived and I still love him.

They also love seeing all of the farm equipment that goes by the house.  Yesterday they got lucky and were able to ride the combine.  I have pictures to upload....hopefully within the next year.

We have internet, directv and phone...so, we will survive.  We do not have a dishwasher, so the dishes might pile up!  The one bathroom situation is working....except for when the boys both have to go at the same time!  Payton tells Owen he will just have to go outside...great!

It is definitely cold here...and the boys hate coats.

Sawyer is of course doing great.  He just keeps growing.  He is huge!  Cute and huge!

We have already had the chance to meet up with my college roomie, Holly, and her boys at the Children's museum. They played great together!  The museum is so much better than the one in Charleston.  Complete with a Krispy Kreme area and some great climbing stuff.  We will definitely be back!

We are about to enjoy our first weekend here - as we spent the last to in Chapel Hill for games and weddings.

Hopefully a weekend here will help me get settled a little more!

More updates to come soon....
