Operation Potty Train Day 2 Updates

Day 2 was a success!  

We still had a few accidents - 2 on the floor and 2 in pull-ups when we were out of the house...BUT we had LOTS of pee-pee in the potty.  Our 2 big highlights include Payton getting on the potty all alone (Mommy was upstairs with Owen, Daddy was outside cleaning up the new slip-n-slide).  Daddy found Payton sitting on the potty with a potty full of pee-pee....and he did it all alone! Woo Hoo!  Second, he went pee-pee on the potty while we were at Ella's house eating pizza (he did have two accidents in the pull-ups between the pool and Ella's house, but I was very excited that he went at Ella's even with the distractions).

Our BIGGEST news of the day.....POOP!  Payton pooped in the potty.  AMAZING!  Mommy was so excited!  We were so proud of him we got him a milkshake from Chick-fil-a as his prize.

Day 3 is starting off a little slow.  We put him in diapers to sleep and he kept his diaper dry overnight but it was wet before we got up and to the potty.  We haven't had any accidents this morning but we haven't gone on the potty yet either....one or the other will be happening soon!  We are still using the pee-pee alarm off and on for reminders to try to go.

Overall, I'm very happy with our progess in Operation Potty Train.   Payton will have 2 days of school this week - and he'll have to wear pull-ups - then he will be with Mommy for a week and a half.  Surely by the end of that time we will have made some major progress and may be able to get rid of those diapers for good!!
