Animal Kingdom - Disney Day 4

Today, my post will be brief.  I am TIRED!  We toured the Animal Kingdom and I must say I was very impressed with the park and all it had to offer!

7:30 - awake, feeding Owen, Chad in shower with Payton....who also wet out bed in the early AM

9:30 - heading out for the day

10:30 - arriving into the park

• Our first ride of the day was the Safari tour.  I did not know what to expect.  I had heard that we would see real animals so I was expecting it to be like a brief tour through a zoo.  It was so amazing!  We saw giraffes - very up close and personal, literally within 10 feet of my face!! - elephants, a lion, ostrich, gorillas, hippos, rhinos - both black and white, wildebeest, many different birds and other animals native to Africa.  WOW!  It was awesome.  It was definitely a hit for all the adults and I think Payton really enjoyed it as well.  Even little Owen stayed awake for this one!
• We also did a walking tour where we again saw a hippo and gorilla.

12:00 - lunch at the Rainforest Cafe - food was good, decor even better!  Payton enjoyed all the animals and the "thunderstorm."

1:40 - Its Tough to be a Bug 3-D show....with Flick!

• One of Payton's favorite movies is A Bugs Life so he was excited to see Flick and Hopper - the grasshopper.  The show was a little scary for him - with flying objects, water and air effects - but he was happy to see Flick.

2:00 - Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore - pictures all around!

3:15 - Nemo Show - a great musical/theatrical show.  We all enjoyed it.  I'm not usually overly impressed with such shows but this one was great.  I've never seen a broadway show but I imagine this would compare in some way.

4:30 - back in our room....again, no nap for Payton

6:00 - to the pool with the intent of eating dinner at the restaurant beside the pool

8:00 - home from the pool - without dinner!

8:40 - Finally ordered pizza to the room

9:40 - Both boys are asleep and we are finally sitting down to eat...at 9:40!!

10:40 - Happy to be sitting down resting my feet for a bit!!

Tomorrow, we'll be heading to Hollywood Studios - our 1st stop will be Toy Story Mania.  Payton is so excited to see Buzz and Woody again!!  I'm hoping to be at the park shortly after opening...we'll see how that goes!  It hasn't worked yet this week.  

Tomorrow will be our last day enjoying the Disney parks - we will enjoy it to the fullest!
