Bundle of Joy!

Several of our friends are joining us in the wonderful world of parenting!  Two of my good friends from college - Jenny Duncan Wood and Jenny Holland Eller are both expecting their 1st.  Jenny Wood is having a baby girl, Hattie. She had a shower last weekend in Catawba Co. and I had to miss it....which I was really upset about.  I really wanted to see her pregnant and see her joy as she received all her wonderful gifts!  Fortunately, I was able to attend Jenny Eller's shower for her baby boy on Sunday.
I only took Owen to the shower.  I decided taking Payton would be far too much work...and I was right! I was happy to see Holly and she was able to meet Owen.  Holly's little boy, Luke, is 1 and a half.

Jenny got lots of great gifts - lots of the essentials.  Chad and I were given a personalized Tarheel Jersey Bib for Owen "Webb" and I LOVED it so of course, I had to get one and share with Jenny and Daniel as well.  I think they liked it!

We missed you Jenny Wood!

Jenny and Jenny -
I am truly so happy for both of you!  You are about to experience a love like no other!  You just can't imagine how much you will love that tiny baby within seconds of meeting him or her.  I hope that I have  been a good example as the 1st Mommy in the group.  I hope you know I'm always here for you...there will be tough times, but the happy will outweigh all the bad!  Even the sleepless nights are all worth it in the end.  I haven't survived the temper tantrums yet so I can't say if they are worth it or not!!  I can't wait to meet each of your precious little ones when they arrive.  Isn't it amazing how our lives have changed!?!  I know we all expected to end up with families and babies of our own one day but it seems to have happened so quickly...time flies!  This will surely make for an interesting girls weekend in a year from now (babysitter(s))!!!  Congrats to both of you...and Brian and Daniel!  You will all make wonderful parents.
Love you girls!  - Jess
