Owen is 4 months old!

Sweet Baby Owen -

You are 4 months old!  Mommy really can't believe you have already been a part of our family for 4 months...though, at times it seems as if you have always been here.  I admit that the addition of a second child has been more stressful than I anticipated but at the same time, you seem to be a perfect fit in our world!

We saw Dr. Linker on Tuesday Oct 26th.  

Weight - 12 lb 12 oz - 50th % (up from the 25th %)

Length - 25 1/2 inches - 75th % 

I was very worried that your weight was going to be low - and that you had possibly dropped on the growth chart - you seem so tiny to me!  I'm happy that I was wrong!  Suddenly, now that your weight has been confirmed, I'm starting to see your chubby cheeks and thighs develop too!

You rolled over for the 1st time last week but only did it once.  This week, you are on the move!  We have found you multiple times laying on your belly, in a pond of drool, raising your head up, smiling....as if you have conquered the world!  This leaves us in a difficult spot...do we trust you to sleep on your belly or do we keep flipping you back over?  These are the times I hate being a pediatric nurse...a normal mommy wouldn't know all the bad statistics!

You are still babbling like crazy!  You are so loud!  You have discovered your hands and feet.  You are reaching for things and starting to follow everything with you eyes.   You watch me eat..and drool even more as you watch.  We tried baby rice cereal for the 1st time on Saturday October 30th and you were not a fan!  We'll try again in a week or so.

You are still a snugly little baby...and I love it!  I think I could snuggle with you forever!

And, just like Payton, you have taken a real interest in Bailey!  She knows she is doomed!
