We made it to East Bend around 5:00 on Friday. We were very happy to be there to see everyone and we were very happy to be there to celebrate Pawpaw's birthday with him! We don't often get to see our family member on their birthday so we were happy this worked out!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAWPAW!
On Friday night, we went to East Bend School for the Fall Festival. Unfortunately, Carson had strep throat and was not able to be around us on Friday night. Payton and Calyn were able to play several games together at the festival. We all went to eat Italian in East Bend. Although Payton did not eat, the meal was delicious!
On Saturday morning, Payton had fun carving a pumpkin with Meme.
He did not want to touch the inside, but he was happy to help use a long spoon to scoop it out. He scooped and dumped it into the bucket!

More scooping! He was such a big helper!
The finished product! Payton was proud of his pumpkin with two eyes, a nose and a mouth! Thanks Meme for helping carve his first pumpkin of the season!

Payton, it was so much fun to have you mom and dad here especially for Pawpaw's birthday! We had fun making our jack-o-lantern since I thought I would never get to make one with you since you live so far away. I miss you and wish you were here. I just look at your pictures and think of the fun we had. Only 17 more days until I see you again! YA
