UNC vs. FLorida State

On Thursday, October 22nd, we headed to Chapel Hill for the UNC vs. Florida State game. We had been planning to attend the game before we realized what a crazy week we would have. Chad was in Dallas for work. That left me to get off work early, load the car and get Bailey, pick up Payton and be heading north by 2:00. The plan worked...barely! We made it to the game in time for kick-off! Thanks to Amy, we had great seats in the Pope Box. Originally we were worried about it being too cold for Payton. The weather changed and it was actually really warm but the Pope Box was perfect for a late night game!

We were worried about how Payton would do at the 8:00 game. He did great. He loved all the sights and sounds. He was amazed by the football helmet that shows on the big TV and by Ramses. Aside from the fact that we lost, we had a great time with Payton.

We were able to see Eric, Amy and Kade. Eric and Amy took Payton on a little tour at half-time. Payton was able to meet Hubert Davis and Ramses!

Payton doesn't really know who Hubert is but one day he will appreciate this photo op!

Payton is not sure what to think of Ramses...Payton gave him a high five but didn't want to get much closer. Payton was saying "Ram-is." He loves to look at this picture! Thanks Eric! Mom was just too tired to walk around the stadium to look for Ramses...and I don't have the all access pass like Eric!

Payton was very happy to have some time with Eric...who is just a really tall kid!

We don't know if we will make it to another football game this season. Payton had a blast at this game and we have many more in our future!
