Pumpkin Patch

We started off at Boone Hall Farms for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Last year Payton was interested in a piece of straw he found on the ground at the pumpkin patch! This year, he was VERY excited to see all the pumpkins. He ran from pumpkin to pumpkin yelling "pu-kin, pu-kin!"
What a difference a year makes - we took this same picture last year by holding him up behind this sign.

He was so excited running from one spot to another!
"TOUCHDOWN" Yes, we love to say touchdown....it may or may not be applicable to the situation. He is holding up a decorative squash while saying touchdown. Maybe he gets this cheering from Mommy!

What a big pumpkin! He had to give it a hug! What a sweet boy!
He found his very own Payton sized pumpkin.

Unfortunately, Mommy is a picky pumpkin picker. The pumpkins at Boone Hall had been picked over so we headed to Hibben UMC to check out their pumpkins. They are also raising money for their church so I feel a little better giving the money to them! They had hundreds of perfect pumpkins! Payton, again, ran from pumpkin to pumpkin to help find the perfect one!

He found one just his size. The nice men gave him stickers to decorate the little pumpkin. We will enjoy doing this next week.
We also found a perfect big pumpkin which we will use to make a jack-o-lantern before Halloween.

Payton got a little practice today with his Meme. Junior Matthews grew several pumpkins just for Payton, Calyn and Carson. Payton had a lot of fun helping Meme cut his pumpkin this morning.
