Class of 1999
10 Year Reunion
Last weekend, we made a trip to Sherrills Ford for my 10 year high school reunion. In high school, I wanted to be our Senior Class President so I could read off the names at graduation....that was really the only reason! As a 17 year old, I never considered the work involved in planning a 10 year reunion. Now I know! I am still happy that I was elected as the president of the Bandys High School Class of 1999 but I am even more thrilled that the class reunion is officially over! It was a great event and I actually had more fun than even I could have expected; however I have been spending a great deal of my spare time (when not blogging!) planning this reunion....on and off since January! So, for the ever expanding "To Do" list, I can now say 10 Year Class Reunion.....CHECK! Next topic on the list....Payton's baby book! Surely I can find the time to get this started now!
Friday night we gathered for a tailgate prior to the Bandys vs. Draughn homecoming football game. Unfortunately, the rain joined us as well. We huddled under two tents and enjoyed time with old friends. It was great to see my friend Kristin Todd who I had not seen in nearly 5 years! Old friends are the best friends for sure! Bobby Noble and his wife Emily have a little boy, Mason, who is only 5 days older than Payton. It was a lot of fun to see them playing together. They had a blast! Payton still says Mason's name over a week later! He enjoyed making a new friend!
Our 10 Year Reunion was held at Soiree in Mooresville, NC. Many of my classmates are pictured above.
The Sherrills Ford gang! These are some of my oldest friends! Tara Crider, Holly Poovey, Robbie Moose, Jennifer Carnley, Kim Potter, Kelli Brooks, Stephanie Hale, myself, Bobby Noble, and Jason Craig - Most of us went through elementary, middle, and high school together. It was great to see all of them!
My forever friends! Spencer and Holly (Holly is my oldest friend....our mothers were friends when they were pregnant with us...so, no matter where life takes us we'll always have each other!); Telisa; and Marty, Laura, and baby Black :) (poor Marty, he is stuck with me and all my "drama" forever....at least the worst is over....we hope!)
It was really great to see every one - old friends, acquaintances, new found friends, and best friends! I will always be proud to be a Trojan and look forward to seeing what the next 10 years will hold!
