It is official. Payton is a toddler. He now requires a haircut every 5-6 weeks. This may be too much for me to handle!
Friday morning Payton and I headed out for a very busy day. At 9:00 we had a follow up appointment with Dr. Linker from when he was sick 3 weeks ago. After waiting for nearly an hour, we got a great report. His ears were completely better! We also got a shot. Payton has received his flu shot to hopefully help with some of the major bugs floating around this fall and winter. Payton has his 18 month check-up this coming Friday with two more shots on the way!
In case the shot wasn't bad enough, I squeezed in an 11:00 appointment with Judy for haircut #4. This time, Payton was a wiggle-worm!
She definitely has a gift to work with kids. She did a great job through the wiggles and his hair looks great! She even let him play in the "air-pane" after getting his haircut in the fire truck.
Haircut was followed by a quick trip to a neat kids toy store in Mt. P. I was looking for a few good fall books to go along with his current lessons at school. He found a few toys he wanted (on the Christmas list now!) but no such luck with the books.
Toy store was followed by a quick trip to the grocery store. He loves to ride in the buggy at the store! He picked out one small pumpkin and 4 small gourds to use for decoration in our house for the fall. He was so excited to see the pumpkins and pick these all alone.
After the store, we had a nice lunch with Daddy at the new Wild Wings....which is dangerously close to our house.
Lunch was followed by a nice long nap.....long enough for mommy to squeeze in a trip to the FedEx store to pick up our new painting and put out all of our fall and Halloween decorations.
Payton was VERY excited to wake from his nap to find pumpkins all over the house. Fall has arrived. He is learning about pumpkins, falling leaves, and the colors of fall at school so I want to help follow with these lessons at home. The remainder of the year will be so much fun! I can't wait to see his excitement as the holidays approach and the decorations continue to appear!
For the first time in months (or years) I felt like I had really made some progress this week!
We had a full day, filled with a shot and a new haircut, a new painting over our mantle, a clean house complete with decorations and a well rested boy just in time to see Matthew, Katie and Jacob arrive for the weekend!

Payton your haircut is so cute just like you! I have waited all week for a new picture but I got 2 cute ones yesterday on my phone. Did you and Jacob have fun? I wish I could have seen you looking at the fall decorations. I know you liked them. I held your new cousin today-she is tiny. I am counting the days until I can see you-it is still too long! Love you all!
