Payton's first trip to the fair!

Last Sunday we decided to go to the Coastal Carolina Fair. We loaded up the Tahoe with Matt, Lindsey and Ella and headed to Ladson. We were completely unsure of how the day would go - 2 toddlers, a lot of activity, and missing nap time! Overall, it was a success! We had some good fair food, got to ride a few rides, saw a few good tractors and a lot of farm animals, had a delicious lemonade and headed back home! The kids did great! The adults were pretty tired at the end of the day!
Mommy and Payton riding the elephants. He really enjoyed the rides.
Dear Santa, for Christmas I want a real John Deere tractor!

Payton has grown to love tractors! It must be in his blood because we don't keep any tractors in our back yard here in Mt. Pleasant! However, I don't think John Deere is in his blood line so I'm not sure where he gets it from! He immediately sits on them and starts steering and attempting to pull all kinds of levers!

Grandpa and Uncle Hub...crank up those tractors and take me for a ride!!
Oh, Mommy, I really like this one! It's bigger!
Payton enjoyed all the animals - goats, pigs, cows, rabbits - even a chinchilla - horses, and chickens. We even saw a few honey bees and took some time to visit with the local honey bees in honor of Grandpa! Payton knows all his animal sounds so he imitated each of them. We still need to work on the horse - he thinks a horse says giddy-up!
Payton riding his very own horse - Joseph - on the carousel!

Ella and Matt rode the carousel too!
All the kids had a blast!
Payton enjoyed driving Ella around. Two steering wheels...what more could a boy need?!?
Chad riding the flying bees with Ella and Payton. What a great Dad! Payton still thinks a bee says "ouch!"
The last ride of the day! I think Ella was almost asleep at this point! She feel asleep in her stroller within a few minutes after the ride!
We finally made it back to the car and headed home. The two kids were busted...again! Yes, holding hands....right in front of their parents!

Payton I can see you had a great time at the fair-but what is this holding hands with a girl???? You are still my little baby boy!!!! You and Ella are such good friends and have so much fun together because you have great parents that provide so many wonderful experiences for you-that is how you learn!

Payton your daddy loved tractors and loved to ride with his Pawpaw. I wish he were living to see how you also love tractors-it would make him so happy but he would want you on a red one!
