Payton has been overwhelmed with birthdays over the past few weeks. We started off with Bailey's birthday (yes, our dog, but we still celebrate!). He was very excited to start telling her Happy Birthday! That was quickly followed by birthdays for my cousin, Jeremy; our friend and Payton's godfather, Eric; the next day brought Laura's birthday and my little cousin, Moses. Payton was so confused by the rapidly changing birthdays that he would cry and say "No!" Although we had practiced telling Moses Happy Birthday, once I actually had him on the phone Payton refused to speak! He enjoyed singing Happy Birthday but wasn't always sure who he was singing for! Last week we celebrated his friend Lila's second birthday and had fun at her birthday party on Saturday. He also celebrated 3 birthdays at school - his teacher, Ms. Shantay and two of his friends Caleb and Ganson. Luckily, all of these birthdays are helping him get a little more excited about his own upcoming birthday! He still walks around the house singing "Happy Birthday to Lila!" Two weeks ago, he wouldn't eat cake but after the recent birthdays he has started to come around a little. He now ask for cupcakes and eats all the icing off the top (like his mommy who loves the icing too!).
Lila's 2nd Birthday Party was at the playground on IOP. All of the kids had a great time playing together. Payton, as usual, always wants to play with the older kids. He has recently gotten a little more attached to Campbell, my friend Anne's 3 year old little girl. Such a flirt! He enjoyed following her all over the playground.
Happy Birthday Lila!
All the kids enjoyed their cupcakes and ice cream. Yummy!
Payton is doing his best to dig in....he hates to get his hands dirty so he uses a spoon to get the icing...unlike most kids who just dig in!
Payton and his little buddy Graham.
We had a great time at the party are we're looking forward to celebrating Payton's birthday next week!
