Best Friends Forever!

The first (of many) group shot of the boys.
Brady (six weeks), Payton (3 years) and Owen (1 year).

For now, 3 years separate the youngest from the oldest. That seems like such a big difference.  In a few years - and after a few good family vacations - they will not even notice the years that are between them.  If I could  look into the future, I would hope to see these three boys growing up to be the best of friends.  I know we live hours apart - but, despite the distance, we have maintained our great friendship with Eric and now Amy.  Eric and I were friends in middle school and I am so lucky that he and Chad developed such a great friendship along the way.  I'm hoping that, like Eric and Chad, the four hour ride that separates all of us won't really impact the friendship.  Hopefully they will be sort of like cousins - no matter how often you actually get together you are still close and share a bond that no other can match.  We will see each other frequently.  Hopefully we'll have at least one family trip per year and countless football and basketball games to bring the boys closer together.  Years from now, I can see them all together, explaining to someone that they were friends before they were even born thanks to the great friendship their parents shared.  Sure, some Mt. P soccer stars and some Chapel Hill basketball stars may join in along the way.....I just hope at the end of the day they will always have a bond with each other...and a few good stories to tell!
