Happy Valentine's Day
to all of the loves in my life!
| Looking back to 2004 - our 2nd Valentine's Day together. |
This picture was taken after Chad and I had been dating for about 18 months - for this Valentine's, I brought an expensive outfit, we got all dressed up and headed out to an amazing dinner at Sullivan's in Raleigh. Fast forward to 2012....8 years later....we will be spending Valentine's Day with the 2 biggest loves in our life. We are going to wear comfortable clothes, the kids have matching Valentine's T-shirts, I'm making a fantastic spaghetti dinner with meatballs (at Payton's request) and we are going to make sugar cookies and decorate with sprinkles. The kids will be getting tons of cards at school and we'll probably spend some time looking at all of their goodies. I must admit, I wouldn't trade this years Valentine's day celebration for anything. I can't wait to spend the day with my loving family!
I hope each of you have a great day too. Grandma, Grandpa, Meme, Pawpaw, Aunt Chandra, Uncle Allen, KK and Carson......your cards will be a little late (they haven't made it too the mail yet...they require extensive decorating!).
To my loving husband, everyday is Valentine's day with you...and I knew this from the beginning.....we had the song Valentine by Martina McBride during our wedding ceremony. It is still so true today and I love you more than words can express. The song says it best - You are all I need, my LOVE, my VALENTINE! Looking forward to many more Valentine's Day celebrations with you.....including those at home eating spaghetti and those when we're able to return to fine dining in years to come!
Valentine lyrics
Songwriters: Brickman, Jim; Kugell, Jack David
If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you
And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine
All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly
I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine
And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine
