Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa

My Mom's Christmas Tree
Probably my most favorite sight of the season!

I can't believe that Christmas at my parents is one of the posts that I have had waiting around to be finished!  Christmas is my favorite time of year and celebrating with my parents is certainly one of my favorite "moments" of Christmas.  We usually get to my parents mid-afternoon on Christmas day.  It is nice to finally be "home" and be able to relax a little...after a whirlwind of travel for the days leading up to Christmas day.  The boys are usually exhausted by this point, so it takes a little extra patience with gifts for the boys.  This year, they did great!

Grandma and Grandpa Santa left stockings for Payton and Owen too!  They spotted some of their favorites as soon as we arrived!  You can also see some of my mom's lovely new furniture!  She's updated all of her living room furniture, curtains, art, etc since last year.  The red colors looked especially great at Christmas!

Grandma's full living room.
From previous posts, you may remember that Santa came to see us at the lake house.  The extra gifts that Santa used to leave at Grandma and Grandpa's were at the lake instead.  Payton got his microphone stand and Owen got his red motorcycle.

Owen digging into his stocking.  He got this UNC football jersey from Bradley and Lisa and continued to wear it over his Christmas shirt all day long!

Stockings for everyone!  Grandma, Grandpa, Jess, Chad and Bailey of course!

Goldfish!
Junior Mints!  Payton and Grandma's favorites!
Owen found a small motorcycle in his stocking

Fudge "Browns" as Payton calls them

Bailey with her favorite person
Bailey looks cute in her Christmas collar
Grandma and Grandpa gave Owen one of his favorite presents....
A Panther's Jersey!!
While Payton got a nice shirt and tie for church.  He loves dressing up for church and asked for new ties for Christmas!
Grandma and Grandpa gave Payton this great Leap Pad.  This one included the music package.  He enjoys playing the games but most of all loves listening to music and taking pictures on his Leap Pad.

Owen was SO excited to have his Panther's jersey.  I feel certain this was his favorite gift!
Our little Panther (despite the fact that Daddy is really a Redskins fan!)

Fire truck!
From Mom and Dad, Payton got this awesome golf game...same as the ones you see in restaurants/arcades, but hooks right up to our TV.

Iron Man costume!

"My pan-furs helmet!"
Grandma and Grandpa got presents too...
Hand made ornaments from the boys
More jerseys for the boys!  This was the Christmas of jerseys - Redskins, Heels, Panthers and finally, the Dodgers!  They were very excited with matching Dodgers jerseys!
Grandpa and Payton had a big box that was for them to share....
...hmmmm....what could this be?
What?!?!?
A junior bee hat for our junior bee keeper!

And, it works for the bee keeper in training too!
Two of my favorite bee keepers!  Payton now has a hat and gloves so he can work with the bees when he visits and hopefully he won't get stung.  This will fit for years and will work for Owen one day too!
Whoppers!
Continuing the tradition of my Papaw Joe's favorite treat!
Last but not least, Grandma got an exciting present!
Her very own iPhone!  Welcome to the world of modern technology....now, its time to teach her to use it!
Christmas night with my parents was great!  Despite the fact that we had already had more than enough to eat, we enjoyed chicken pie at dinner...my favorite meal of the season...and I don't care if we eat it two days in a row (also had it on Christmas Eve!).

This was perhaps one of our best Christmas days with the boys.  They had a full day but they were sweet, happy, excited boys all day long!
