Payton's 5th birthday party was held at a College of Charleston baseball game. I can't say enough great things about the experience. It was the perfect party for our sports loving boy! He had lots of his friends and classmates at the party. The game even went into extra innings (which made a few parents groan!) and the Cougars pulled out the WIN!
His party was supposed to be another day, but due to a yucky stomach bug we had to post-pone. They were great to work with us to find a new date.
The baseball cake in the center was left over from the original party (I froze it, so we didn't eat it, but it was nice to use it for decoration!).

Clyde the Cougar came to visit several times during the party and was a big hit with the kids!

The Cougars made Payton a birthday bag. He loved every thing in it...even the seat cushion...but his favorite was this autographed baseball.
Thanks Cougars for a wonderful party day!!
A few of his presents. Just like previous years, we let Payton choose to keep a small number of his presents from his friends. The others we donated to the MUSC Children's Hospital. I am still amazed at how generous he is with this each year. Many of our friends don't understand how we can get him to do this....truly, this is a reflection of his character and has little to do with parenting. There are many other parenting skills I would like to improve, but the gift giving we have down to a science!
What a perfect day!
