Play Time!

After all the traveling had finished (except for the trip back home!), Payton was finally able to get a little free time and PLAY!  He had so many new toys to check out and more people to visit with.

Saturday, Jessica Campbell came over to visit and then Payton went to lunch with the girls.  Jessica and I enjoyed chatting and catching up.  I'm sure Payton learned a lot listening to us chatter!  We had a great time and hopefully we can see her again soon!

After lunch, Marty was able to stop by my parents house to visit with us as well.  Laura was sick and not able to come.  Payton was looking good in his UNC football jersey.  Unfortunately it did not help pull the Heels to victory in their Bowl appearance.  It was great to see Marty as well and hopefully we can visit in Atlanta or they can come stay with us again soon!

Saturday night we had more company...and more food!  My Godparents, Harold and Cherie, came to my parents house.  Luckily, Lauren and Nathan, Emily and Madison were also able to come.  Madison was a huge help early in 2008 when Cherie had to keep Payton during my Grandmother's sudden illness.  In a few short days, Madison learned to LOVE Payton.  When she found out she would soon be a big sister she stated that she was going to be getting a baby Payton!  Even though they are over a year apart, it was so fun watching them interact.  Much like playing with Jacob, Payton played along with her.  She was very happy to play in his new wagon, help him learn to rock on his new horse, and hold him.  I imagine this was similar to the way Nathan and I used to play so many years ago!

Madison told Payton to Rock! Rock!  When he coughed, she told him to "cover your mouth baby."
Payton seems to love his new rocking horse.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to squeeze this in with all of our other items and had to leave it at Grandma and Grandpa's for now.  We hope Payton is able to play on it again soon!

Ride, Baby, Ride!
Payton shows off on his new walk and ride.

Grandma loves the ride baby ride. Brings back many memories of you and Nathan at those ages. Madison has that take charge personality a little like you did and Payton just listen like a good litte boy.
They were so cute playing together.
Hope you can see them more when you are home some. Love to all,
Grandma and Grandpa
