I must say, Uncle Alfred's animal selection is much better but since we live so far away from Sherrills Ford and the East Bend farms, we took advantage of the opportunity to take Payton to see a few animals. I am sure my Nannie Helen and Pawpaw Mose have flipped in their graves now that they know we had to resort to such standards to show Payton a few animals! He loved seeing the animals - the "horsey," the "baq-baq," the "duck-duck" with ducklings, the cow that says "booo," the pigs, a bird, a cat, and the goat that says a sound that I can't replicate in writing! Uncle Alfred and Grandpa taught Payton what a goat sounds like...it is an interesting sound...but it stuck! He now makes the sound, complete with spitting...did I say thanks Dad?He also enjoyed the tractor and bottled Cheerwine!
This goat stayed up top to get the food from the pulley system.
The Baq-Baqs were Payton's favorites! There were chickens running every where and he enjoyed chasing after them!
Ella and Payton looking at the pond with fish and ducks.
Ella was eager to touch the rabbit. Payton was not interested. He did not want to touch the horse either! I think he got that from his mom....he does not like to have his hands dirty!
OH! A TRACTOR!
My little farmer!
