St. Thomas

St. Thomas, St. John and BVI pictures

On Monday, we took the car ferry to St. John and explored the island.  The majority of St. John is a National Park so the island is made up of natural, untouched beauty.  As you will see below, the beaches were beautiful!  St. John has very few resorts or hotels but seems to be a place I would love to return to in the future.  The small downtown area was very interesting with lots of shops, art, and small restaurants.

St. John
Cinnamon Bay

Lunch spot on Coral Bay - Skinny Legs
Very hot open air place with decent burgers.

The beach in front of the Westin St. John
Our ferry ride on "Tuglife" returning to St. Thomas

Dinner at Mim's Seaside Bistro on St. Thomas....horrible experience but good pictures!!

Day sail to the British Virgin Islands with Capt. Wilson.  Honestly, this was one of the greatest days of my life.  I think we all agreed!  It was all so beautiful and being on the water all day was amazing!

Marina Cay
Fabulous lunch spot....what a view we had!  The restaurant, dock and gift shop are about the only things found on the island!
Sandy Spit - a small island that is beautiful!  This is where the Corona commercials are filmed.

Finally, the infamous Jost Van Dyke!

Chad is enjoying playing the "original" ring toss.  My family frequently travels to Tortola and Jost Van Dyke.  They have shared so many stories so I couldn't wait to see it for myself.  We have a ring toss at our beach house every year over the 4th.  Ours is usually a little easier than this one was!!
Relaxing at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke.  Capt. Wilson joined us at our final spot!
The Ritz on St. Thomas with a view of St. John in the background
Dinner at Wikked at Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas

The best part of the vacation....watching the sunset from the infinity pool!

We had a great time and really enjoyed traveling with Jenny and Daniel.  It was harder to leave Payton this time.  I'll have to start thinking of kid-friendly vacations soon!  Thanks to Aunt Chandra and Uncle Allen, Calyn, Carson, Meme and Pawpaw, and Grandma and Grandpa for watching Payton so Mommy and Daddy could enjoy another fantastic trip!
