We spent a few days with my parents in NC following Christmas day. Of course, the boys enjoyed some a their new toys....

They also spent lots of time playing with their new car tracks, playing the drums, watching their new movies, and baking lots of goodies in the new kitchen. We are usually so exhausted after our whirlwind Christmas adventure that we crash and spend about 24 hours doing nothing at my parents. Luckily, we managed to pull it together long enough to shower and head to Charlotte to see my Mom's family - my aunt, uncle and cousins - the day after Christmas.
Our friends Jonathan and Hilary were in Charlotte with his parents - they live about 10 minutes from my aunt and uncle - so we took an extra hour and visited with them. They live in Kansas so we usually only see them once or twice each year. The hour went by quickly but it was great to see everyone.

We arrive at my aunt and uncle's and enjoyed the rest of the day with several of my cousins.

Zoe, my cousins daughter, lives in Atlanta. We usually only see them for holidays - and unfortunately, we had not seen them since last Christmas. It makes me sad to go so long without seeing my family members! Zoe and her younger sister Piper were beyond excited to see Owen! If Zoe and Aubrey, who lives in NC, were closer to us they would be our built in babysitters!

Piper's main concern was Owen!
She took great care of him! As the youngest of 3 kids, she was happy to take care of someone else!
We missed 2 of my cousins and 2 younger cousins. Hopefully we can see all of them again soon....before next Christmas for sure!
