In an earlier post, I mentioned that overall 2011 was a pretty good year for my family. We had a great time celebrating the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 with some of our best friends. Payton and Owen stayed in NC for 3 days without us - spending a few extra days with Grandma and Grandpa. This gave us a few days to clean up and clean out LOTS of things from our house. It was extremely helpful to have a few days to get things done without interruption!
On Friday Kade and Mary Margaret came down from Raleigh. We enjoyed a very low key night on Friday, a relaxing day on Saturday with brunch at Poogan's Porch and they went with us to our friends annual New Year's Eve party. Many of our best low country friends were there and we enjoyed spending a very low key, casual night with them to ring in the new year!

The Cason's graciously host the annual party...but, their decorations are a little out of date! The "2008" banner has been remodeled each year and it now reflects "2012"....kinda! The glasses still represent 2008...one day, these pictures will really confuse someone! 2008 was a good year afterall - we welcomed Payton in 2008 and met a few of these great friends for the 1st time later that same year, so why not celebrate over and over again!

I'm counting on 2012 being a GREAT year! Hopefully, we'll be celebrating with these same great friends this time next year.....2008 glasses and all!
