Waaaaay back in May, my friend Charlotte invited me to attend a Fashion Show and Silent Auction in support of the Dee N0rt0n L0wc0untry Children's C*nter. Charlotte, Brooke and I traveled all the way out to Freshfields on Kiawah for the big event and we had a great time. So great in fact that we bid on and "won" a 2 night stay in a cottage at Kiawah. We're looking forward to getting away with all three couples in May. It ended up being a great deal on the cottage and we were happy to support such a great cause. The DNL** supports local children who have experienced abuse and neglect. When I worked as a school nurse, I was able to work directly with the organization and they have a special place in my heart. I look forward to supporting them again in the future.
After the big event on Kiawah, the boys were waiting to meet us for dinner. Our husbands had agreed to come out and meet us at the Red Hen on John's Island. We had never been to the restaurant before but had heard great things. We were not disappointed the meal was fabulous!

I nearly kept these photos to myself...Chad and I have both lost a fairly decent amount of weight since these were made in May and I hate to even look at myself in these...but it was a great night with friends and I didn't want to leave it out! Don't worry, I haven't wasted away over the summer but training for a marathon has helped me loose a few extra pounds!
