Just a few pictures from our wonderful weekend in Detroit!

So far from home! They had banners for each school in Ford Field. Michigan State was only 90 miles away. Swarms of Michigan State fans were present for both games. I've never seen so much Green and White or heard such a loud roar. Luckily, on Monday night they didn't roar too long! Heels fans cheered Go Green, Go White, Go Home!!
After winning the semi-final game over Villanova, Jonathan and Hilary joined us in Detroit. We tried to fill our day by walking all over Detroit. We finally ended up at a restaurant in the GM Building. The 72nd floor provided a wonderful view and a nice sweet treat! You can see Detroit and Windsor behind us.

Monday brings more fun! After a long day of killing time and building nerves, we finally made it to the UNC pre-game celebration. It was nice to be surrounded by fellow Heels fans before heading to Ford Field to see the National Championship game.

We are happy to say it ended with a victory for the Tarheels!!
The game is over and the celebration begins! It was so awesome to see this in person! Seeing Tyler's expression as he left the floor and ran back on to celebrate was truly priceless!

Woo Hoo! We won! 2009 National Champs! Once again, Chad gets to see it live and in person! I am so happy I was able to be there this year as well! Franklin Street is awesome but to experience this in person was a wonderful experience! We are very proud to be Tarheels!
