Sorry for the delay....

Finally! For those of you anxiously awaiting an update, I apologize for the delay. The last 3 weeks have been extremely busy and overall exhausting!

After Payton's weekend birthday celebration, I was hit with a 48 hour stomach bug that was NOT fun! That left us one day to pack and prepare for a trip to the Final Four in Detroit. My parents were eager to volunteer to come to our house to keep Payton and Bailey while we traveled to Detroit. We really can't thank them enough! The trip was not child friendly...especially since we had dinner on Saturday night around 12:30 am...I just don't think Payton would have been a happy camper at that point! Bailey was much happier here at home as well! In addition to the child care, I gained two tomato plants that we will definitely enjoy this summer! Grandma and Grandpa, THANKS for the help!
Our trip to Detroit was great only because we won a National Championship. Overall, Detroit was a pretty nasty place - cold, wet, absolutely no shopping, not a whole lot to do, and several very rude Michigan State fans. This was my first Final Four and National Championship game experience so I was definitely in awe. Winning on Saturday was great but as Monday rolled around my nerves were a mess! Our game and our current players were pretty impressive; however, I was star struck yet again. On Monday, we were just feet away from George Lynch, Scott Williams (two of my all time favorite Carolina players), Rasheed Wallace, Antwain Jamison, Ed Cota, Julius Peppers, and Vince Carter. Magic Johnson, Larry Byrd and Michael Jordan were all on the court. Sean May, Raymond Felton, and Phil Ford attended on Saturday night. Unfortunately, I didn't have my zoom lens this time! It was so exciting to win and so exciting to see One Shining Moment in person! It was wonderful to see Tyler win the one thing he had not accomplished. We celebrated well into the night and ended up getting about an hour of sleep. This probably contributed to the exhaustion we are still trying to overcome!!

We arrived back in Charleston shortly after noon on Tuesday. As we walked in the door, I could hear our little man babbling away. I missed him more than I thought I would in those four days! When we left him, we was still starting to walk - 13 steps had been his max. When we arrived home he had truly changed into a toddler. He was so steady on his feet and walking everywhere! He would walk around and around downstairs! I was so sad that we had missed this quick transformation but so happy to see that he had reached this major milestone. He walks ALL OVER now....there is definitely no going back now! We had a quick lunch with Grandma and Grandpa before they hit the road back to Sherrills Ford. It wouldn't be long before we would see them again!

Chad and I returned to work for Wednesday and Thursday. After work on Thursday, we rushed home, packed up and headed to East Bend for Easter weekend. We arrived to Chad's parent's house after midnight on Thursday.

You may be noticing a trend - busy, busy, busy, travel, travel, travel!
