Payton's 1st Haircut

Payton had his first haircut on Saturday April 18th at 3:00. His first haircut was a Tresses Salon in Mt. Pleasant which is also Mommy's new salon. As we walked in the door Chad commented to Payton that he was getting his hair cut in a fancy place! His hair has always had a nice style, a nice little boy cut. I had just recently started to take over his ears and was starting to grow down his back. This was very obvious when his hair was wet! Recently I had several people ask is Payton was a boy or a girl. So, we decided to go ahead and get it trimmed up! They really didn't cut too much. The longest piece may have been an inch long. I saved a few locks of course!
Here we go...snip, snip, snip.
We only cut the back, around the ears and in the front. He did much better than I thought. We had to hold his head pretty tight so she could cut around his ear. She was very patient and did a great job. Ten minutes later we were out of there with our official toddler hairdo!
Nicely trimmed in the back!
Showing the new style to Bailey!
Trimmed up the front....

....and around the ear!

Mommy did not shed one tear. In fact, he didn't look too different until I got him up on Sunday morning. Sunday it was more obvious that he had his hair cut. He does look a little more grown up and more and more like a toddler. Now, we'll just have to wait and see if this style stays with him for life...so many boys keep the first style for years and years....even through adulthood!
