Calyn and Carson finally arrive!!

We were excited to see Chandra and Allen too!

After Payton's birthday "weekend" he traveled back to East Bend with Meme and Pawpaw for a few days.   He was there Monday and Tuesday and headed back home on Wednesday with Chandra, Allen, Calyn and Carson who were on a very brief spring break trip.  All the snow in NC limited our visit a little!

Payton had a great time in East Bend but he was very excited to get back home to see Mommy and Daddy too!  He saw lots of friends and family members in East Bend and probably got spoiled a little too!  I know he enjoyed several milkshakes!

When they arrived on Wednesday night, they got Payton's birthday present set-up for him.  Payton does love all his new presents, but Calyn and Carson definitely seemed to pick one of his favorites...a basketball goal!  Payton finally has his 1st Little Tykes basketball goal.  It was an immediate hit...with everyone! It is currently set-up at 4 feet but that doesn't seem to stop Payton!  He hits a high percentage of shots!
Calyn, Carson and Payton enjoyed playing basketball any time they got a chance while they were here visiting!  The goal remained in our foyer/dining room throughout the visit and amazingly enough nothing was broken!
Calyn gave Payton a big assist so he could SCORE!

Thursday wasn't exactly the day we had planned.  Thursday morning we went for family photos and then headed downtown for lunch and what was meant to be an afternoon downtown.  Chad's sister, Chandra, gave us quite a scare after lunch on Thursday and we found ourselves spending the afternoon in the MUSC ER.  Fortunately, she was able to go home after a few hours and a few Liters of fluids and we were able to enjoy our day together on Friday.  It was a scary situation and we are very thankful that nothing serious seemed to have been wrong.  In the future, we hope to spend an afternoon on a carriage ride rather than in the ER!

Friday morning we enjoyed a lazy morning around the house!
Like last year, Calyn, Carson and Payton enjoyed dying easter eggs together.  We had a little mess but we ended up with 18 beautiful marble easter eggs.

Getting ready to start!
18 eggs, 9 dye choices, and 3 excited kids!  I love being a mom so that I can finally do all the things I used to love doing as a kid all over again!  The smiles are worth much more than the mess!

Payton acted more as a director...telling us where to put his eggs rather than actually getting his hands dirty!  He dropped a few in like a big boy!

Following the Easter Egg dying, we headed out to lunch and a nice game of Putt Putt!
The eager competitors prepare to tee off on the first hole!

Throughout the course, we had a little friendly competition - the no-see-um's - who liked to eat our arms while we attempted to play.
Payton enjoyed it as well! "I hit it in the hole!" he enjoyed saying over and over!  He had improved greatly since August of 2009 but he may still need a few more practice months before we head back out!  It is great to play with Calyn and Carson though because they keep Payton entertained...and keep him from running back onto the putting green to hit someone else's ball!

Allen and Chad tied for 1st.  Carson, the luckiest putt putt player on earth, had several hole-in-one shots at the end of the day!

We finished our day with a nice dinner and stroll along the battery at Sunset.
What a wonderful day with family!  Too bad they had to leave on Saturday!
