I haven't seen Toy Story 1 or 2 in over 6 days! Where is Payton? Our house has been WAY to quite! We slept late. We stayed up late. We've had nice relaxing dinners with NO goldfish or half eaten $6 kids meals (Owen was with us, but he just slept and slept and slept!). We even snuck away, got Owen's first babysitter, Elizabeth, and enjoyed an afternoon out on the water with Matt and Lindsey. All possible because Payton is away for the week...he spent most of last week with Meme and Pawpaw in East Bend and on Saturday he moved on to Sherrills Ford to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.
What has he been doing? Loving the country!
- He had his first sleep over with Calyn and Carson.
- He spent the day with Mawmaw. He went to visit Austin. He got to see lots of his family members.
- He's been to the fish camp.
- He went to the barn to see the cows being milked....and he's still talking about it!
- He watched Toy Story every day....multiple times a day!
- He read lots of books. He ate lots of fresh cantaloupe and corn.
- He saw Calyn play softball in Concord at a tournament.
- He made it to Grandma and Grandpa's in time to go to Noah's 5th birthday party and play with all his cousins.
- He learned his colors (Thanks Meme!) using M&Ms.
- He's been to see the goats at Uncle Alfred's house.
The best news....he's still got a whole week to enjoy his family and the country in NC. Mommy and Owen will be heading north tomorrow (if all goes as planned) to enjoy time with everyone as well and Daddy will be coming on Thursday night.
We are glad you're having fun! We have missed you very much and all the noise....and Buzz and Woody of course! Thanks so much to all the grandparents and Payton's driver, Chandra. You made the time while Chad was away much easier on one "new" mommy and gave us a few days to enjoy baby Owen all alone!
