Family, Friends, and Fun!

It is amazing how busy we have been in Owen's short little life! The weekend of the 4th was no different!

My parents were here through July 4th - they headed back to North Carolina shortly after lunch on the 4th. It was great having my Mom here for an extra week and I probably appreciated her more after she was gone...especially when the clutter started gathering on the counter, the laundry had to be done and the dishes had to be put away. It was also nice to have her company during the day to help with Payton, running errands, and have someone here with me while Chad was gone. I am so lucky to have her to help me and be willing to come and go from NC any time I need her! I know she enjoyed the extra time with the boys as well...even when Payton was pushing her buttons :).

The weekend of the 4th was a busy one! My Aunt Linda and Uncle Bill were in town at my cousin's house. They came to meet Owen on Saturday. They brought my younger cousins as well - William, Emmett, and Evan were all able to meet Owen and spend some time playing with Payton. Payton loved having the big boys around! Payton and Owen both got some wonderful presents! Owen got some adorable clothes while Payton got a few new Toy Story items! We all enjoyed lunch at Chick Fil A as well! It was great to see all of them! Seeing them the week of the 4th makes me miss our annual family beach trips to Ocean Isle Beach....I know Payton would have loved a week with his family at the beach!

Saturday night Chad and I took the boys to the Ballengers for dinner and lots of fun! We enjoyed some delicious shrimp tacos while the kids enjoyed lots of play time and back porch dancing! James and Reese joined us as well. As usual, it was a great evening with friends and it was nice to get out of the house with our family of four for a fun filled night!
