37 weeks

I made it to 37 weeks!

I had my weekly OB appointment today.  My regular doctor was away on vacation so I saw one of the other doctors in the practice.

All of my vitals, weight and my check with the doctor went well.

We discussed the contractions I have been having - this is my first time seeing her, so she was a little more in-depth with me and with discussing my contractions.  I have been having contractions for weeks...like 10 weeks...and overall, I am actually feeling pretty good this week.  I think my contractions are actually occurring less frequently this week.  She was happy with all that we discussed and with my exam and sent me on my way.  I'll be back next week to see Dr. E.

I still don't have my bags packed or the baby bag packed...in fact, the baby doesn't even have a bag yet.  I have started laying some things out that need to be packed just in case I would have to instruct someone else on where to find my most essential items.

Yesterday, Owen and I ran errands in the pouring down rain and I was able to look at the diaper bag I thought I wanted...seems a little small...so, I'm still pondering.  Gotta figure it out soon!

My to do list still includes:
Order camera...ASAP!
Order new camera lens...ASAP!
**I have decided to skip the newborn photo shoot, investing the money in my new camera. I have bought several props, have read several articles and just hope I can get a few good shots to match the newborn shots of P & O.  Fingers crossed I can make this work!
Wash a few more baby items.
Wash my new nursing PJ's for the hospital (Thanks, Mom!  I LOVE them...I never knew I could love maternity/nursing jammies, but these I love!).
Re-assemble car seat
Buy glue sticks for Owen's school supply list...T@rget and W@lmart are sold out!

The nursery is ready.  The bottles are washed.  My pump is clean.  We have a few diapers and some wipes.

I was pleasantly surprised with a baby shower and luncheon at work last Wednesday.  My co-workers graciously provided lunch, bought a few packs of diapers and wipes and gave us a gift card..to be used on more diapers I am sure!

Stats from today:
Weight gain - 23 lbs (and hopefully holding steady!)
BP - 117/70
One contraction in about a 1 hour span.

Sweet baby boy, just hold on tight in there...few more items on the list!  We are anxious to meet you...on Sept 3rd!!
