I hope I never forget...

...the innocence of a child!

Conversation in the car today:

Payton:  Do you think me and you and Owen can go shopping and buy Daddy something for Christmas?

Me:  Sure, what do you think you want to get him (to tuck away until December)?

Payton:  Well, you know how we have been playing pool.  Me and Daddy should have a Championship game and if he wins, we can get him a trophy.  Like the trophies I have in my room.  We can get him a trophy with writing for him to keep in his bedroom.  'Cause, I think Daddy has won lots of Championships before but he doesn't have any trophies.

(Obviously Chad's final four ring that impresses nearly every stranger we meet doesn't do too much for Payton....or, it's not as cool as a trophy!)

Second part of the conversation:
Payton:  I could probably be on a pool team.  Do you think I could?  Or, maybe if they have a bowling league around here, maybe you could find out about that and sign me up for that.

Me:  You want to be on a bowling team?

Payton:  Yeah, I'm pretty good.

Sure, why not....Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Tennis...and bowling!

He also had golf camp today and came home with a list of new clubs he thinks he needs.  Clearly, the kid needs a sand wedge, " 'cause he gets to hit out of the sand a lot!"

Love these kids!

Owen was asleep for the duration of the conversation, otherwise, I'm sure he would have wanted to join the bowling team too!
