Saturday morning we headed out to Sullivan's Island to enjoy a few hours at the beach. Payton has enjoyed every trip to the beach. As soon as we arrive he starts playing with his toys in the sand. I think he would sit and do it for hours. He is very interested in everything going on around us. He LOVES to watch the birds. He finds them in the water, on the beach, in the sky. If there is a bird, he will see it and point it out to us! He enjoys watching other little kids play on the beach. He refers to all of them as "baby." There was a 5 or 6 year old running by us and Payton quickly pointed him out and said "baby."
Payton is more and more like his Daddy every single day. One of these ways is his absolute LOVE for anything sports related. We took his bat and ball to the beach. He used his bat a little more like a golf club than a baseball bat but he's just learning! Note the predominant use of his left hand!
For the first time in a month or more I remembered to use our video camera. Unfortunately, he's not very talkative in any of the videos. It is a lot of fun to watch him stumble around on the beach and in the ocean. He played in the water for about 45 minutes. We always have to take him out. He never seems ready to leave. We were at the beach for 2 hours on Saturday. We are starting to get our routine down and it gets easier with each trip!
Payton and Chad head down to the water. He has such a cute little run. Every time we have gone to the beach he ends up taking this same bucket and shovel into the water.

Jessica......Payton is too cute for words!!! I loved the videos of him on the beach! You have a beautiful family! I just love this age. Enjoy it while you can. In another year or two he'll turn into a little monster. LOL! ;)
