Dollywood, Day 2 (Sunday June 14th 2009)

Sunday was filled with trip number 2 to Dollywood.  We had big plans for the day.  We arrived in the park shortly after it opened and quickly made our way to the areas we had missed on Friday and visited some of our previous favorites.

First stop was the classic cars.  Minus Pawpaw, we turned this into a family event.  Pawpaw had stroller duty!  Lucky for you all, Allen and I both held on to our camera!  Payton loved the miniature cars and loved to steer the entire time.  Chad rode with Payton first while I rode with Carson.  I got my turn with Payton second while Chad rode with Carson.  Payton was a wonderful driver of course! Calyn hit the rode all alone both times!  Good thing we all kept it in between the lines!

Carson, Calyn and Payton.  Payton can't wait to get behind the wheel!

How fitting...a carolina blue car for Payton's first "drive!"
I'm riding with Payton as he takes a curve...check out his serious face.  He wanted to make sure we didn't get "wrecked up!!"

Calyn looks so confident and stylish!
Is Meme in a parade?  I think she must have just won the Mrs. Dollywood Pageant for the summer of 2009!
My favorite ride (and movie) as a child was Dumbo. I was very excited to ride along on the Flying Elephants with Payton.  These elephants went very high and came back down very quickly.  I think Payton enjoyed the ride!
Finally...the family gets to go on a ride together...the Dollywood train!  Chooo-Chooo!

Pawpaw, Calyn and Carson get a fun ride on the Twister.  We're so happy we good get a few shots of him on a few good rides!

We left the park shortly after our exciting ride around the park to head to lunch at the Old Mill.  We enjoyed the good home cookin' and especially the corn fritters with maple butter!
